Solo Betrays Israel - Again

Solomon Islands, again, betrayed Israel, and voted in support of the UN Resolution on Palestinian membership in the United Nations General Assembly. Since Palestine is not a state, and had rejected the statehood offer from the UN since the founding of Israel, the vote itself is "illegal" and should not be honored by any Democratic member state. Palestine cannot become a member of the UNGA without first declared independent. And for an authority that refuses to recognize the state of Israel to be given such unprecedented award only shows the growing antisemitism in the UNGA.

For Solomon Islands, this is the second time our leaders supported Palestine maybe because of the relationship our government has with Cuba and the relationship between Cuba and communist Russia and China. This appalling display of betrayal must not be tolerated. What does Solomon Islands have in common with Palestinian leadership anyway? What does SI have in common with the terrorist organizations - Hamas and Fatah? NOTHING!
Prostitutionization, for the lack of a better word, of Solomon Islands' sovereignty is sickening. In 2009, our leaders voted against Israel in support of a report, so one sided - so biased, that even the author admitted he ignored some facts that could have changed the tone of the report. But why? Assuming that the SI leadership in New York didn't have time to read through the hundreds of pages of this Goldstone's report, one can only conclude that the SI vote was bought, or to be more precised, SI was bribed. A few days after the vote, Australia called the SIG and complained that the SI received $200,000 USD ($15 million) from Iran. Prime Minister Lilo and the SI mission to the UN is now pimping Solomon Islands for money that may only end up in their pockets.
