How to Extract MP3 from a Video

It is beautiful here this week. The weather had been mild, long standard blong town ya, but still cold for me. Trees are changing colors for the final few weeks of Fall before the arrival of the bitter Winter. I love Fall or Autumn for the beautiful colors, each tree yields its own beautiful unique colors. Some are red, others orange, some are pink, others just brown, others remain green! It just beautiful outside.

Anyway, I am tired of the politics so I am going to blog on something completely different. The internet is full of excitement and there are thousands of tricks out there so I am going to show you a few.

How to Extract an Mp3 Song out of a Clip

Video clips are created with embedded videos and audios, they are then converted to video formats (AVI, MPEG, WMV, Flash) that the web-browsers (IE, Mozilla, Safari, Opera etc) can read or play through built-in audio player. If you don't have it, you can install a plug-in mp3 player. All browsers do come with built-in mp3 player. If not, you can download the mp3 file and play it with your Windows media player. Because of movies are end products of audio and video streams, it is impossible to separate the mp3 from the video clips. But there are websites that made this very easy.

Step 1
Find a video clip from youtube to extract its embedded mp3 song. It is better to find a video clip with a clear mp3 background music. Some video clips have poor audio or mp3 file in them, so you need to use a good headphone. Turn the volume of your PC all the way up and see how loud the song is.

Step 2
Open up this website VIDEO-MP3 BETA in a different different window; minimize the window so you can see other windows on your desktop. Some websites may ask you to subscribe, others may require you to wait for a little bit, but this website should download your song without hustle.

Step 3.
Enter the URL (The website address) in the search box provided then click on download. There are two links there: Standard Quality and Higher Quality. The standard is better if you have a very slow internet connection. Higher Quality is good for fast internet speed. Ignore "download " and "Play Now" buttons. You will require to install something on your desktop and perhaps requiring you to pay some services for faster download.

Step 4.
Click download and wait. When the download is completed, look at the status bar on the bottom of your browser. If the destination folder is shown, click on it to open or play the file. If the download is done and you don't know where to go, always go to your computer, my documents, and check our the "download" folder. If the MP3 player is there, it will have a weird looking name. Double click on it to play, if the song is exactly what you expected. Do the next step.

Step 5.
Right click on the song and go down to "Rename" link. Click on it and it will allow you to edit the name. Type the name of the song and press enter.

You just successfully extracted an MP3 out of a video clip on youtube.

How to Convert WMA, WAV etc.
Why is mp3 extremely popular? mp3 stands for:

MP3 stands for MPEG Audio Layer III and it is a standard for audio compression that makes any music file smaller with little or no loss of sound quality

This is exactly why mp3 is extremely popular for emailing and video clips. The song is compressed but the quality is preserved. It is also the preferred format for many audio devices and car stereos.
Follow these steps to convert your songs to mp3 format.

Step 1
Open your music folder where your songs reside. Place the mouse on your songs and the songs' file information will show up or pop-up. It should show you the song's audio type. In old computers, right click on the songs and go to "properties" and see the audio type information.

Step 2
To convert these songs to mp3 format, first, click on this link. Click here. This is a free software. If you want a fancy converter with all the features that are not on this free version, you may do so, otherwise this free version is awesome.
After installing, all you need is "add files" and convert.

Step 3
Click on the add file and browse to your music folder and chose the songs you want to convert. You can select more than one by click on CTRL+A to select all or CTRL+ALT while clicking on songs you want to convert. These songs will be added to the console.
Click on the "output" folder to pick a destination for your mp3 audio files. You can save them to the same root directory as well. Then chose the type of format you want to convert the songs to. Chose mp3 then click "convert". The instructions on different software may varied but they carry the same directives.

Step 4
After the conversion, click on computer and then browse to the destination folder. Make sure the songs are correctly converted.

.... to be edited.
