The Cold War brought out the worst in humanity as powerful countries sought political, ideological and economic control of the world. They provide poor countries weapons while they provide logistics and sit in air-condition offices in Russia and Washington, D.C. And they measured their success by what result these poor countries achieved in the battle fields. In Vietnam, US lost because they withdrew, giving USSR more credibility. In Afghanistan, US funded Mujahedin fighters booted off Russia and CIA took the credit. But behind every war is a political doctrine based on a set of ideologies and targets. Down the road, US presidents approached their Soviet rivals with so-called strategic "doctrines". What is Doctrine anyway? Doctrine defines as:
