New IRS Boss Daniel Werfel |
The appearance of puppets singing songs of the popular American gospel group - the Heritage - intrigued me to no end. But little did I know that behind those puppets were "puppet masters" who synchronized the movements of the puppets to the words of the songs. In other words, the puppets moved the lips exactly what the controllers wanted, and moved them in directions that the controllers wanted them to. This IRS debacle is driving me insane but more so the man whom the government appointed to fix, restore, and lead the IRS out of the mess. Mr Daniel Werfel is, off course, a brilliant man - no doubt extremely educated, however, he can be a very smart educated man and becomes a puppet of the government.
Over the past few weeks, the IRS scandal had been downplayed by politicians who don't want to be implicated in the whole mess, and the White House that is trying to thread the debate carefully. It is, therefore, apparent that Werfel is placed there not to do his job but to twist and turn the issue the way of the government - simply to save the butts of the higher-ups at a time when Americans can't hardly afford anything and hurt because of the IRS. His demeanor and words are all scripted - filled with lies and deliberate distortions of facts and instances.
Prior to appearing again before a House Review committee, Mr. Werfel released a report claiming that "at this point" there is no "evidence" of intentional targeting of conservative organizations. When asked if he had carried out any thorough investigation of the IRS, he replied - its an on going investigation but "at this point" there are no evidence of an intentional targeting done by the IRS. What strikes me when I heard those words is that the same words came out of the mouth of the White House spokesman Mr Carney, the former IRS members, the White House, the Defense Department, and the State Department. For some reasons, this administration has built a "wall around themselves" against any scandals facing this administration, known as the "Ongoing investigation Wall". The creation of such invisible wall is simply to divert blames and downplaying criticism and investigations.
If there were no "intention" - why were Teaparty organizations being singled out for targeting? If Mr Werfel is serious about this allegation, why did agree that the questions given to conservative organizations were inappropriate? You can't have it both ways - you can't say that questionnaire sent the conservative organizations were inappropriate at the same time denying there were no intentional targeting in the process? Those questions were done with one intention - to humiliate and stall the efforts of the Teaparty a group extremely effective in shifting the House of Representatives toward the Republican side in 2010. An unintentional instance would go sometime like this - a string of questions intended for a certain organizations landed on the desk of a different one. That can be construed as an "unintentional event", but to send conservative groups questionnaire after questionnaire and stonewalled the application forms to this very day, is not a mistake, it is intentional. The IRS intended to punish these organizations.
When further question whether he had met other IRS heads and the IG, Mr. Werfel said he didn't, and when was asked if he knew how many progressive organizations applied at the same time conservative groups applied for "Tax exemptions", he said no he did not. The Republican congressman replied, I know the number we have all of them here and it is just a fraction of the number of Conservative groups targeted, and the biggest catch of that crap is that all of these progressives applicants were approved. How can this IRS scandal be without even motives and intentions? It is impossible to make such contrast but Werfel is comfortable in lying for the sake of saving the former head of the IRS and the Obama administration. This man is a drone and a true puppet of the White House and, as a lawyer, he knows how to flip questions and flip them around to make a point regardless of the fact that the public is aware of all the lies that come out of his mouths.
Representative Brady summed his report up in these words - your report is a total "SHAM!" and Rep Roskam told him in the face - "My Constituents are afraid of people like you." It is cool to know that someone put Werfel where he belongs!
