Stop Abusing Solomon Islands' Money

Prime Minister of Solomon Islands -
 Gordon Darcy Lilo
Statement: Just when you thought Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo had enough of so-called scandal, he - again - accused of favoritism. Recently, he awarded $1,000,000 to a private Guadalcanal movement, or organization in hard cash. The media claims that the money was simply a payout based on the fiscal year budget. What the hell is that? I am fair in my assessment of the PM, but if he deserved the boot, he should take it. This is a scandal that Solomon Islands' watch-dogs should take seriously other than the extra-marital affair he was recently accused of. But so far, he is being allowed to slip through the cracks. Every government has its own "discretionary funds" the PM can use for his own pleasure and he should have used some of that to please his own ego. Allocating a million dollar to a private moment or organization in the national budget with a clandestine motive behind it, is pure corruption. It is simply unfair to all the organizations in the rest of the country that are starved financially. The PM must be challenged and must be held accountable for this payout. This is not his money, this is a daylight robbery of SI's money. At a time when inflation in our country soars, our government must be held accountable for every single cent spent. He must either pay this money back, or have this organization return that money to the government.
