Romney vs. Christians and Libertarians

Democrats won't defeat Gov Mitt Romney next week. If there are groups that Gov Romney should be afraid of it would be the "Evangelical fanatics", and the Libertarians. To many on the right, the hardcore Christians, politics is not so different from religions, and that one's beliefs matters more to the voters than the economic and political views of the candidate. After next week's presidential election, the truth will emerge; whether Christians would be
willing to put aside their religious views in favor of a more appealing economic plans, or give Gov Romney the boot. If Christian evangelicals' hatred for Mormonism - a hundred year old animosity - outweighs the need for a revitalization of the economy and restoration of the United States as we know it, Gov Romney will be defeated. Despite the fact that some prominent Christian leaders, such as Billy Graham and Mike Huckabee - endorsed Gov Romney, some Christians can't swallow the fact that a Mormon leader is about to make history and break the century long marginalization of the LDS church. Likewise, Libertarians don't like the fact that a hawkish GOP candidate is likely to be president of America. To many Libertarians, Gov Romney's tough stand on Iraq and Syrian government may result in another war that Americans can't afford. They argue that war should end and that isolationism is the key to a strong national economy. This is not a theory or a secret. Libertarians candidates, during the GOP primary, all took a serious non conservative approach to foreign policy. A tough counter argument to the pro-strong military Republican candidates, which many conservatives view as not so different from the Democrat foreign policy platform.
If millions of Christians chose to stay home, and if the Libertarian party puts up a presidential candidate, which - at this state is more likely than not, some moderate Republicans and Libertarians will turn their back on Gov Romney.
