Sarah Palin, the modern Joan of Arc!

Tonight will be the final battle of the US presidential campaign. The vice presidents or the "running mates" will debate before the American people over issues facing this country. Since entering the national political spotlight, Gov. Sarah Palin had captured the imagination of young, female, and Christian conservatives' imaginations of an ideal candidate. She helped driven Sen. McCain's polls up in the post-front-runners' debate. Over the past few weeks, Sen. Palin had been fighting two wars; first, the war of gender, second, the war on credibility and experience.

The War on gender is evident from day one. The Republican had complete changed the complexion of the political campaign when the Rep. nominee Sen. John McCain chose Gov. Palin of Alaska as his running mate. The reaction was not strange at all; the Sen. Obama's camp instantly went on offensive, calling Gov. Palin a former mayor of a city of 9,000 people. Sen. Obamas sorrugates of also questioned the Gov. Palin's ability to lead as a mother of 5 children and an child with down syndromes, others think that she was merely an inexperienced famale. The tone of the criticisms was nothing more than an attack on her genda.

The second battle Gov. Palin is fighting since her acceptance speech at the RNC is her is her experience. The name Alaska sounds almost foreign to many of her critics. She was a mayor of a town not known to many people, and a governor for merely two years. Majority of the criticisms pointed to her inexperience in foreign policy; an area where VPs heavily involved. The questions darted at her were not so much on how she would handle a certain issue-such as Georgia vs. Russia or Iran vs. Israel, rather what she understands certain foreign policies. There is a tremendous difference between what knows and how she percieved global issues.
For instance, when interviewed by ABC's John's Gibson, Gov. Palin was asked what she thinks (know!!) about Bush's doctrine. Her answer further elavated the Liberals attack on her credentials. Yet it turn out that Bush's doctrine covers a wider range of social and political paramters. For instance, Bush's doctrine on military is "preemptive strike (war)," but he also stressed financial sanctioned against nation supporting terrorism and declared nations harboring terrorists as enemies. It also includes the "democratization of nations in the Middle East" which means that US would support moderate governments (Saudi Arabia and Pakistan) in their quest and ambitions for national security and economic independence.
Gov. Palin may not have understood the question and the intentions, her answer basically satisfied other areas of Pres. Bush's doctrine.

In all, Gov. Palin will have to live through this battle for the rest of the this and next month. The attacks don't all come by way of Sen. Obama's camp, but from all extreme Liberals. Last month, Gov. Palin's email was hacked by a son of a Democratic leader. Her photos, emails, and other personal files were posted online. Other Liberal network called made fun of her husband as having sexual relationship with his daughter. This is the most evil attack on the governor.

But tonight, all Eyes will be on the "underdog", gov. Palin. She will be facing one of the most experienced Senators in a nationwide televised debate. Sen. Biden have been a senator and a political figure for more than 35 years.

To be edited and continued!
